Twin City Agreement Between Delhi And Moscow

The capital of India experienced Moscow`s still fiery culture at the two-day “Moscow Days in Delhi” event! Previous agreements have been held “Delhi Days in Moscow” in 2006 and “Moscow Days in Delhi” in 2008. Both functions were organized by the Department of Art and Culture due to the signing on 2 May 2006 of an agreement between the Secretary, the Demcer, the GNCTD and the Deputy Head of the Department of International Cooperation in Moscow. Ministers AAP Satyendar Jain, Kailash Gahlot, Rajender Pal Gautam were present at the signing of the agreement. Senior officers, including Secretary General Anshu Prakash, also attended the event.

The first Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation between the Government of Moscow (Russian Federation) and the Government of the National Territory of the Capital of Delhi was signed on 25 September 2002 and will continue on 26 October 2012 for the period 2012-2015. The agreement was signed by Moscow`s Minister of Municipal Government and Head of International Relations Sergey Cheremin and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Manish Sisodia.
